Adult Formation
Following Christ is a journey of continual transformation—shaped by God’s presence through study, prayer, and spiritual practice. At St. Mary’s Kerrisdale, we offer a variety of ways to help you grow in faith and deepen your walk with God. From ongoing discussion groups and seasonal opportunities for reflection, to resources that nurture your own prayer and meditation life, there’s something here to inspire and encourage you. Wherever you are on your spiritual path, we’re here to walk alongside you as you grow in grace and depth.
Seasonal Studies
Throughout the year, St. Mary’s offers book studies, discussion groups, and other opportunities to grow in faith. During the liturgical seasons of Advent, Lent, and Easter, we host short-term studies that explore themes such as living our faith, learning new prayer practices, and deepening our understanding of Christianity. These seasonal gatherings are a great way to engage in spiritual growth without the commitment of a long-term group.
Quiet Days
At the start of Advent and Lent, we set aside a special “Quiet Day” to pause from the busyness of life and rest in God’s presence. This gentle one-day retreat weaves together short reflections, times of silence, prayer, walking, and journaling—creating space for your heart and mind to slow down, listen deeply, and be renewed in faith. All are welcome to come and be refreshed.
Anglican People Talking (APT)
Start your week with connection, conversation, and prayer. On Monday mornings, we gather for fellowship and mutual support, exploring Scripture together and discussing faith, discipleship, and life—whether the topic is deeply personal or as big as the world. All are welcome to join this time of encouragement and spiritual growth.
When: Mondays, 11:00 am–12:00 noon, in the Heritage Lounge (lower floor) at St. Mary’s and on Zoom.
