Social Action
St. Mary’s Kerrisdale is committed to living out the Gospel through tangible acts of care, generosity, and justice. The parish engages both locally and globally to meet needs, build relationships, foster belonging, and advocate for a more compassionate world—offering time, resources, and hospitality to create lasting change.
Social action is woven into the life of our community. There’s a place for everyone to take part, whether through hands-on service, advocacy, or offering a warm welcome. Your presence and gifts can help make a difference.
Community Meal
Every Tuesday at 11:30am, St. Mary’s Kerrisdale opens its doors for a free community meal, welcoming neighbours from every walk of life. It’s more than just good food—it’s a place to share conversation, make connections, and know you belong. Volunteers of all ages help prepare, serve, and tidy up, creating a space where generosity and friendship are on the menu every week.
Come and gather with neighbours for a time of connection and conversation. Enjoy a free, flavourful, and healthy meal shared around the table. While you’re here, you’re welcome to take home some fresh Cobb’s bread (when available), browse and exchange books at our mini library, and pick up items from the St. Mary’s Neighbourhood Pantry and Fridge. All are welcome—come as you are.

Refugee Ministry
At St. Mary’s Kerrisdale, our Refugee Committee walks alongside one family at a time through the Diocesan Refugee Sponsorship program. We help with the practical needs of settling in—like housing, finances, and navigating daily life—while also offering friendship, community, and a warm welcome. If you have a heart for hospitality and justice, there’s a place for you to join us in helping a newcomer family build their new life in Canada.
